AGRS / Standard Electronic Grease Level Detector

The Electronic Grease Level Detector (EGLD) is a standard feature with every Grease Interceptor Unit...

Application:
For use in restaurant and institutional kitchens and all types of food handling and processing areas where waste water contains Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG). Additionally, can be used in service stations, parking garages, car and truck washes and industrial plants where discharge water contains oil. Can be used on most manufacturer's manual or semi-automatic grease and oil interceptors to monitor ad alert facility personnel when interceptor cleaning is required.

Specification:
The EGLD is powered by a UL listed 9 VDC transformer and has L.E.D. indicators with audible alarm and permanent memory. The probe assembly is mounted to a wall bracket for precise placement ensuring accurate and reliable readings.

Features:

  • A continuous grease level measurement system.
  • Patented probe measures grease levels within the interceptor unit.
  • The Grease Level Dectector's monitor can be mounted to most manufacturer's existing indoor, manual/passive grease interceptors.
  • Microprocessor notifies facility personnel when the grease interceptor requires manual cleaning/pumping.

Components:

  • A wall mounted micro-processor based Controller with LED indicators and permanent memory in the event of power outages.
  • A patented probe assembly will accurately measure the amount of grease within the interceptor. Various probe lengths are available to fit most existing manufacturer's manual interceptor configurations.
  • Adjustable probe interface module to accomodate stricter standards.
  • UL listed 9V DC power transformer.
  • Interface cable to connect the Controller to the Interceptor Probe Assembly.
  • Optional modem for remote grease level monitoring.

Easy Web-Site Monitoring

  • From the comforts of your office or home.
  • Easy to read charts of cleaning cycles.
  • Ability to check current grease level at any time of day or night.
  • Adjustable alarm levels for increased performance.
  • The EGLD keeps a history of the interceptors cleaning cycles and displays it cleary from the web-site.

Dimensions:

  • 12" - 18"
  • 18" - 24"
  • 24" - 36"
  • 36" - 48"

Additional Information:

The PDI® G101 and ASME 112. 14.3 standards test the ability of grease recovery systems to retain grease by using an influent which contains 1lb. of grease per 10 gallons of water (Approximately 12,000 milligrams of grease per liter of water).

A 25 GPM grease recovery system is considered to pass the test if after passing 50 lbs. of grease in 500 gallons of water into the unit; the unit retains a minimum of 45 lbs. of grease. It is stated to be 90% eicient; however most PDI approved units are considerably more efficient than 90%.<>

A PDI approved unit that passes the PDI test at 90% eiciency is passing 1.6 ounces of grease per 10 gals of effluent up to its rated capacity. A unit that passes the test with a 98% ring is only passing 0.32 ounces of grease per 10 gallons of effluent up to its rated retention capacity.
