NPR Show on Better Fracking

On November 26, 2012 NPR’s On Point produced a segment on the state of the fracking industry, paying particular attention to the current push to reduce, reuse, and recycle frac water.

The comments section of the show page has exploded with anti-fracking sentiment. Comments focus primarily around concerns with polluting underground aquifers, as well as some surface-side issues, like air pollution and wildlife endangerment. These concerns are certainly worth discussing.

Anyone who desires to become more educated on the state of the industry and where the environmental concerns remain should take a listen to the show. Also, Ecologix Environmental Systems President and CEO, Eli Gruber speaks up on what we’re doing to ameliorate some of the concerns surrounding water use and reuse. Take a listen. Share your thoughts. Get involved.
