Contaminants Removed

VKOH - Pellets is a pelletized activated carbon impregnated with KOH (Postassium Hydroxide) made especially for use in a vapor applications. Its particle size and pore structure have been specifically designed to provide the best adsorption of impurities from vapor steam with the least flow resistance.  Impregnated activated carbon retains specific contaminants long enough for the chemical impregnant to react with the contaminant and form a stable compound within the carbon, thus eliminating the contaminant from the stream.

Acid gases, such as, H2S, SO2, HCI, CI2, and mercaptans. Amonnia, formaldehyde, mercury, radioactive isotopes, poisonous gases and chemical warfare agents. Impregnated carbons are widely used in the purification of gas process streams (eg., CO2, H2, natural gas, etc.) Impregated carbon is also used to control bacterial growth in drinking water filters.

Description

This product is manufactured to adsorb odiferous by-products, solvent recovery, and VOC's, as well as adsorption of trace contaminants.

VKOH - Pellets are processed from a mixture of selected anthracite and sub-bituminous coal, are activated at high temperature with steam impregnated with KOH. The pellets are available in four sizes: 1.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm and 9 mm. Carbon tetrachloride adsorption values are available from 60% t80% a required.
