ACTIVATED CARBON DATA SHEET

Article Sulphur Impregnated Pellets Mesh Conversion Table | OrganoClay
Name Coal Base Virgin Activated Carbon Pellets (4 mm usually) impregnated with sulphur for removal of mercury vapor.
Description
V-Sulphur Impregnated Pellets: Activated Carbon pellets impregnated with sulphur have been designed to remove mercury vapor steams. Sulphur impregnated carbon beds should not be exposed to liquid hydrocarbon as this can leach the sulphur impregnation from the bed. Organic Mercury can be effectively removed with sulphur impregnated carbons; however this is adsorption rather than chemical reaction, requiring significantly increased contact times.
