Air Treatment Systems / HITT Series - Industrial Air Treatment Scrubber System

HITT Series - Horizontal Impingement Tray Systems - Low profile and comact arrangement allows installation in restricted places. Virtually no maintenance, no nozzles, filters to plug or replace - self cleaning with programmed injection of non-foaming detergent or biocatalyst.

HITT Industrial Scrubber Systems
The HITT Systems use about half the energy and space of traditional units while maintaining high efficiencies with superior gas to liquid contact. The compact unit comes equipped with many features, which enable you to take control of fine fumes and dust with 98% efficiency.

Less Frequent and Easy Maintenance
The HITT Systems feature fully automated controls for automatic skimming and clean down. Minimal maintenance is required because there are no high-pressure nozzles, filters or media to service. All maintenance is performed external to the unit for safe and easy access.

Custom Built and Installed
The HITT System's shape and size can be customized to your specific space and operating requirements. Depending on your applicaition and available space, we are able to build and install a turnkey system to meet your specific application requirements.

Facts:

  • Average water blow down and surfactant usage will vary depending upon pollutant loading (i.e. - Lbs./Hr. of meat, fish, poultry, etc. processed)
  • Fan HP will vary depending on external system requirements and addition of "after filter" and/or odor control filters
  • Unit CFM can be plus 10% oup to minus 25% onominal flow rates. Fan HP may vary.
  • Units can operate from 3/60/208-230-460 power.

The basic HITT Series system is constructed of heavy gauge, welded carbon steel, with service doors, special weirs and trays, staggered angle droplet separator and exhaust plenum. Scrubber assembly is mounted on an HD structural channel base with lifting lugs. Alternate materials of construction are available.

Also included is a wetted inlet distribution plate, fill, chemical feed and drain connections, automatic overflow/skimming feature, plus temperature and pressure test ports.

The unit can be furnished complete with recirculation pump, piping and valves. In addition, a PLC controls package is available with a variety of optional features.

The horizontal design allows this scrubber to be arranged as a typical air handling unit. It can be conveniently incorporated into existing devices that would normally require an add-on pollution control device (low-volume spray booth with HITT-I Series scrubber built into the rear exhaust plenum)

It also permits close coupling to existing duct work, system fan and additional inline solid material separation devices (i.e. VIS, FS & HHR units)

When analyzing the total cost of acquiring a pollution control device, installation and operational costs can be major factors. The unit comes fully assembled, requiring minimal duct modifications and runs for installation. It requires little maintenance for continual, high efficiency operation.

HITT Series Industrial Scrubber Benefits:

  • Highest removal effeciency at lowest energy consumption
  • Unit shape can be changed to fit available space
  • Compact design with minimal ductwork requirements
  • Eliminates problems associated with alternate wet removal systems:
  1. Wet fan - inefficient relative to HP consumed; mechanical problems
  2. Venturi - high energy consumption to achieve high efficiency
  3. Spray pads - cannot handle dust loads; nozzles and pads require servicing
  4. Alter tray scrubbers - vertical process tower installation requires considerable system ductwork, limits variety of applcations / alternate uses, has a lower approach velocity capability making units larger and has higher operating presssure

Typical Applications:

  • Metal Forming - Oil & Smoke
  • Material Processing - Particulate / Fume
  • Textiles - Tenterfram Exhaust (lint / oil)
  • Coatings - Spray Booth VOC
  • Restaurants - Grease & Smoke

Alternate Uses:

  • Humidifier
  • Evaporator
  • Air Washer
  • Process liquid and gas cooler
